EBB was created in 2011 by two New Orleans transplants, Ron Bocian and David Bandrowski and local jazz radio DJ, Drew Miller. They quickly assembled a top notch, hard-hitting horn section: Steve Ebner (trumpet), April West (trombone), David Jackson (tenor sax), JP Balmat (baritone & alto sax, clarinet) and Wayne Rice (sousaphone). Euphoria Brass Band is proud to have been nominated 5 years in a row for various San Diego Music Awards since their inception in 2011! Embracing the exciting spirit of improvisation with a hard funk edge, Euphoria Brass Band has become known for their incendiary high energy shows…. guaranteed to get a crowd smiling, dancing and having a good time. EBB always leaves ‘em wanting more!

In 2012 they released their first CD “Coast To Coast” which was nominated for a San Diego Music Award. 2013 saw a second release called “In Step With Tradition” and a nomination for “Best Jazz Artist”.  Both releases found National radio airplay on stations like San Diego’s KSDS Jazz 88.3 fm and New Orleans WWOZ. Their highly anticipated third release, “EBB & Flow” garnered yet another SD Music Award nod. The very end of 2016 saw the release of Euphoria’s first live release: “Live & Loud!”. Boasting burning performances from two well know San Diego music venues: Panama 66 at the San Diego Museum Of Art and Seven Grand. This exciting release truly captures the energy, urgency and excitement of a Euphoria Brass Band live show and has landed them their fifth award nomination. In March 2019, Euphoria was awarded a San Diego Music Award for “Best Jazz”!
